Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Egor Sharapov ("we", "us") about the ARBeef app and website. By installing or using ARBeef you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the app.
1. What ARBeef is
ARBeef is an augmented-reality fighting game for iPhone. You can fight with fighters from the built-in catalog for free, and you can turn your own photos into fighters using credits. Two phones in the same room share one arena over the local network.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Apple ID. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your device secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for such services where you live). You can delete your account at any time in the app; deleting it forfeits any remaining credits.
3. Credits and purchases
- Credits are consumable in-app purchases sold through Apple. Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency and may change.
- One credit creates one fighter from a photo. The credit is charged when you start a generation.
- If generation fails on our side or on Tripo's — the photo is rejected, the model cannot be rigged, a step errors out — the credit is returned automatically. If you cancel a generation that has already started, or the result just isn't what you hoped for, the credit is spent.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and do not expire while your account exists.
- Refunds for purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, we remove the corresponding credits; if that makes your balance negative, you cannot generate until it is topped up.
- We may give away free credits (for example a starter balance). Promotional credits can be limited or withdrawn.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the photos you upload and to the fighters generated from them. By uploading a photo you give us and our provider Tripo the permission needed to process it into a fighter and deliver the result to you — nothing more.
You promise that:
- you have the right to use the photo, and any person in it is fine with becoming a cartoon fighter;
- the photo is not illegal, sexual, hateful, or designed to harass someone;
- you will not upload photos of children other than your own.
We may refuse to process a photo or remove a fighter that breaks these rules, and may suspend accounts that keep doing it. Generated fighters are for personal, non-commercial use.
5. Play safely
ARBeef puts the arena on a real floor and asks you to look at a screen while moving around. You are responsible for your surroundings. Play in a clear space, watch for furniture, stairs, pets and other people, don't play near roads or water, and stop if you feel dizzy. We are not liable for injuries or damage caused by playing without paying attention to the real world.
6. Rules of conduct
Don't:
- reverse-engineer, tamper with or automate the app or its API, or try to get credits without paying;
- use the app to harass anyone, including through the fighter names you choose;
- interfere with other players' sessions.
7. The app is ours
The app, the catalog fighters, the artwork, the name ARBeef and the logo belong to Egor Sharapov. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's standard App Store terms. Clips you record of your fights are yours to share.
8. Third parties
Fighter generation is performed by Tripo (Tripo3D / VAST); payments by Apple; hosting by Cloudflare; crash reporting and analytics by Sentry and PostHog. How they handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for outages of these services, but we will return credits for generations they fail.
9. No guarantees
ARBeef is provided "as is". Generated fighters are made by an AI model from a single photo: they may not look like the original, may have odd proportions, and may occasionally fail to stand up. AR tracking depends on your device, lighting and floor. We don't promise the app will be available, error-free, or work on every device.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you for anything related to ARBeef is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
11. Ending things
You can stop using ARBeef and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and may discontinue the app or the generation service with reasonable notice; unspent credits will be refunded if we shut the service down.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top says when. Material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use ARBeef after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Egor Sharapov resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you more protection. Disputes go to the courts there, and we will always try to resolve them by email first.
